ZTE Completes NSN Installation for QiComm, Demostrates WiMAX, TD-LTE Coexistence with P1

ZTE announced on May 3, 2011 that the company has successfully deployed NSN (Next Generation Network) system and a transmission system for QiComm, according to the Total Telecom. ZTE's NSN system equipment needs less room space compared with existing system and consumes as much as 75% less power. Financial details are not yet available.

Meanwhile, ZTE teamed up with P1 (Packet One) and demonstrated the coexistence of WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) and TD-LTE (Time Division-Long Term Evolution) on the same network, according to an April 29, 2011 report by the EE Times India. It is reported that ZTE used the same WiMAX system and upgraded it into the TD-LTE system in less than one hour, without replacing any hardware.
